How are we different?
There is no other company in the IT marketplace doing what Bigfoot does. Some companies offer parts and pieces of this service, but not the whole offering. We have patents for both intellectual property and our business method. We have alliances with distributors and OEMs, which allow us to offer competitive discounts. Although discovery and technology is 1/3 of the solution equation, the remaining 2/3 is delivered via our expertise and analytics. We are an extension of your team without additional headcount. Lastly, we have incorporated the “go green” initiative into our service.
The Beginnings of Bigfoot Technology
Our co-founders, Matt LaMere and Dan Schrenk, saw a fundamental shift in Data Centers which occurred around the year 2000. Companies began moving away from homogeneous environments and embraced a "best of breed" philosophy. The result was more data centers and many manufacturer brands within them. However, there was no one to help companies manage their service maintenance and support contracts.
During several years of selling in the IT industry, Matt heard many stories from customers regarding lost and/or uncovered assets. He also heard how tedious and challenging of a task it is to manage these. He found widespread IT maintenance challenges within companies of all sizes, across all industries. Bigfoot set out to develop a solution for both manufacturers and customers.
So, why the name "Bigfoot”? We didn't want our company name to be the usual technology terminology. Since our service and solution is so unique, we think it begs for a different name. We are also located in the Pacific Northwest where there have been numerous Bigfoot sightings. Finally, the term “footprint” has relevance in any data center.
Bigfoot Technology Mission Statement:
Ensuring customers become best in class by providing an all-inclusive service for auditing and managing maintenance and support contracts. We improve efficiencies by reducing costs and energy consumption along with increased accountability for data center management.
